JC Music Productions and Born in the Barn Studios Reject False Claims About the Company and Its People
JC Music Productions and Born in the Barn Studios today rejected recent public statements that misrepresented the companies, their leadership, and their work. An incomplete public website was used as the basis for those statements. Rather than contacting the companies so errors or omissions could be corrected, certain individuals circulated claims that the businesses were not legitimate and that the people associated with them were not real. Those claims are false. Josh Cameron is President of JC Music Productions and Born in the Barn Studios. Sylvia Desjarlais is Vice President and Creative Director. They are real people leading a real Tennessee production company. The companies produce original music and related visual work, including God’s Family Tree Project – The Family Album. “If a page on a website is unfinished, the honest response is to ask us,” said Cameron. “Using incomplete information to tell people we are not real, or that the people who work here are not real, is not a mistake. It is a choice. It has caused real harm to members of our team. We will not accept it as commentary.” The companies also reject the suggestion that the use of modern production tools means the work, the studio, or the people behind it are fictitious. Like many recording and visual production houses, JC Music Productions and Born in the Barn Studios use professional creative tools in the making of music and imagery. That does not make the artists, producers, or leadership imaginary. It does not make the company imaginary. Anyone with a question, a correction, or a concern is invited to contact the companies directly. The public website is being completed so that the information available online matches the work already underway. JC Music Productions and Born in the Barn Studios remain focused on the music and the message: songs that connect the dots from Eden to eternity.
